Min. DeTrai Edwards
 Minister of Music – Email
DeTrai Edwards is a native of Chesterfield, VA. He graduated from Matoaca High School and earned an Associates in Arts and Science Degree from John Tyler Community College. DeTrai had an early love for music and a natural ear for it. He taught himself to play by ear then perfected his craft through formal lessons. He was inspired by his parents, grandparents, and the community who recognized, encouraged, and supported his musical talent. At an early age, he was called to use his musical gifts to uplift Christ.  He accepted his first leadership assignment in music ministry at the age of 13.
Over the years, he has continued to serve in musical ministries, having collaborated with musicians and singers across the state as well as nationally. God continued to develop him as a musician, director, songwriter, and visionary while spiritually preparing him to expand his ministry gifts. DeTrais love for music has always been intertwined with his love for God.
In 2010, he was licensed and ordained into five-fold ministry. His greatest desire is to be in the presence of God and become all that God has called him to be, a desire he shares with his wife and children. Worship, including worship through music, continues to be an instrument to invoke the presence of God and spread the gospel. His hope is that others will experience the power, love, and presence of God through his ministry.
